I can not be certain that these towers would pass any safety inspection!!! Upon opening the box, my entire family requested a tower, as they seem so practical. That was not the case 2 days ago when I attempted to plug in a charging cable and it caught on fire in my bedroom . While the fire caused a surge of adrenaline and was quickly contained, my bigger concern was the NOT one of the levels on the unit shut down. I immediately unplugged the unit and proceeded to unplug all devices connected. Needless to say, I won't be using the tower again. The though of what might have happened had I not been in the room is terrifying. PLEASE be extremely cautious when using this, as I would hate to see anyone be injured, lose a life or a home because of a faulty product.
