UPDATE 8/18/19: I made a huge mistake by ordering directly from PiperWai. When I received my package, the oil had leaked out all over the inside of the box. I thought, "Oh, no worries. I'll just contact them for a replacement." Well, they don't have a phone number to call. You can only send a form on their Contact Us page. I went ahead and sent my message and got a response saying they wanted to see photos. I took photos and sent them. They replied again saying that they would not replace it and that all I had to do was stir up the product and it will work fine! Having had a lot of experience with this product, the oil leaking out will make the product unusable. It dries out easily and with less oil, it only gets worse. So, I'm stuck. I tried tweeting them to see if I could get someone to talk to me. They blocked me on Twitter! This is their idea of "customer service"? BUYER BEWARE. --------------------------------- I'm on my 7th container of Piper Wai and ordered this version a few weeks ago. I too believed it was bogus because when I received it, it was VERY different from the others I'd ordered before. The color is much lighter, the weight is lighter (as though it has been whipped), the smell is different, and it doesn't work as well. I reached out to Piper Wai through their website and alerted them to this listing and guess what? They asked for the lot number (which I provided) and then said it's theirs. WTF. Here's what they actually said: "That looks like a perfect jar of PiperWai to us! Some variation in color, texture, and scent is normal with natural ingredients. When the jar is transported, oftentimes, the product does pull away from the jar walls and the ingredients get shuffled around. Once you give it a very thorough squishing with clean fingers, the ingredients will be reincorporated, and you'll have a perfect-smelling jar of PiperWai. Since this is not my first purchase, I've done this "squishing" thing already and it doesn't help. The previous 6 containers of Piper Wai that I've used had virtually no difference from the last. It always bugs me when a company doesn't listen to you, tries to make it seem like you're the crazy one for mentioning the defects. They offered to refund and send me a new one so we'll have to see if that's any better. If not, I'm done. This version is sub-standard and I feel like they're hiding something. I will report back when I get it. I hope your experience is better than mine but don't count on it.
