The fire pit works relatively well, and looked great for the first few days, yes, days. If the fire pit happens to get wet, and you don't get it dried off quickly, it tarnishes the paint permanently. We have tried everything to remove the stains, and ended up rubbing some of the paint off the lid. What a waste of $$$. If your fire pit will be exposed to the elements, you might want to look elsewhere.
