I use this for mouse control and bought it for that. Normally when I have bought peppermint oil it is so strong that it is overwhelming when opened. This product I could sniff directly from the bottle and there was only a faint smell. It might be good for other uses but is useless for natural pest control. This poured directly on cotton and placed in a closed room had no odor of mint what so ever.
