So I bought these for a hike of Mount Marcy along with two other NY high peaks. After about 7 miles of the 24 mile hike I was impressed with the product but then they took a nose dive like a Japanese kazakami pilot. To start the mud cup which keeps your pole from sinking literally just fell off somewhere. At mile 9 the handle become unglued and broke rendering one of the poles completely useless; which in turn led me to having to carry it in my pack for the rest of the 15 miles. Do not buy these save your money and buy a nicer pole. If you do buy these do yourself a favor and put a knob of tape below the handle so it can’t just break off.
