I Don't Recommend This Product
I strongly advise that you do not buy this product. I read the reviews and ordered it in spite of the high price expecting a top quality alarm that could replace my $50 system that failed after a year of use. WRONG! The actual maximum range between sensor and receiver for this system was about 400' over the same path conditions that he cheap unit could cover at 800'. There were trees and brush in the path between the sensor and receiver, but nothing unusual. I'm sure I set it up correctly. The instructions were good, and I'm a former TV broadcast engineer and I hold the highest class amateur radio license the FCC issues. In other words, I know what I'm doing. Its quite clear why his system doesn't perform. First, it is operating in the same 900 MHz frequency band that is used for very short range devices like garage door openers. 900 MHz signals are strongly absorbed by vegetation like you would encounter in most practical applications of this system. At 900 MHz and using the maximum power allowed by the FCC, you would need a perfectly clear line-of-sight path between the sensor and receiver AND decent antennas on both for reliable performance. Alas, this system relies on a bit of wire folded to fit inside the plastic case in lieu of a proper antenna. The lack of proper antennas is the primary reason this system could not match the 800' range of my $50 system, which had good antennas on both the sensor and receiver. There is no provision for adding good antennas, a major deficiency. I returned this system and received a prompt refund, so you don't need to fear trying it if you only need a 300' coverage radius and you really need to operate tens of sensors, each with a unique alarm. Otherwise, less expensive alternatives will likely be much more cost effective.
