Judging from other reviews, this seemed nearly perfect: a lightweight handheld vacuum with great suction and good design. In practice, this is extremely flawed for two reasons. First, the brush attachment included is very thin and only goes around 3 out of 4 sides on the wand, defeating the purpose of a brush attachment. Second (and much more important), this thing is deafeningly loud. A few reviews have mentioned it's high pitched and whiny, which it is, but no one has mentioned that it's over the threshold of pain. I measured it and it peaks at around 93-95 decibels (measured at the ear). It hurts to just turn this on, and it's not comfortable to use without hearing protection. All vacuums are loud, but this is completely unacceptable. It's possible this unit is just defective, and I'm considering exchanging it to try again. Will update this review if I do.
