We thought we'd try this to cut down on our costs on the disposable trays! Don't do it! I'm not sure why but we'd normally get about 40 visits out of the disposables, but for some reason, perhaps because the plastic material does not allow the crystal to breath it saturated up quickly in 25 visits. They were so soaked at that point our cat refused to go in the box. The smell then was horrendous so I don't blame him. The tray to hold the poop is not adequate size like the disposable ones and it seems to allow more odor to escape. And now the cleaning! Because the crystal gets so saturated or sticks to the plastic material. It won't just fall off into your garbage bag, so you'll need to scrap it off, then take it out in your back yard you hose off the rest. I'm certain in a few more cleanings the plastic material is going to saturate and have a permanent stench. Save your money! This is a "don't buy".
