OK call me a comforter snob. This did not impress me at all. The microfiber cover is thin and not all that soft. It's not brushed. Just plain thin microfiber. Absolutely nothing special about it at all. This is a thin, thin, thin comforter ! It is for summer use only. The way the seller has pictured the corners, you can't tell that the corners are NOT sewn down and there is a large area on each corner where the stuffing is free floating in between the top and bottom and when washed will most certainly sink down into one of the open areas of the comforter. There is a Greek Key like sewing design so only every other square is sewn through with the bottom (or 4th side of the square) leaving the corners completely open !!! What this means is that the entire perimeter of the comforter is not sewn through leaving this extremely thin filling to shift and bunch up. When I rubbed my thumb and forefinger on the top and bottom of the comforter, I could tell the filling was so thin I just felt the top and bottom polyester cover. How this comforter has gotten such rave reviews is a mystery to me based on what I received. This is something I think would be comparable to a dollar store or maybe a Walmart "special purchase" comforter. Certainly terribly over priced for what you get !!! And looking at the outside package of the comforter, there is no country of origin information given. You would not know where it is made but the inside tag of course, says CHINA..... I hate to say it but this may end up in a dog bed cover as stuffing for one of my 4 ft crates for my dog. It's just too thin on its own. (note no weight information is given on the amount of stuffing....) No wonder !!! UPDATE: MAY 21, 2014. About a month ago I washed this comforter on gentle and dried per instructions in dryer with a couple of tennis balls to ensure it dried evenly. The dog bed cover was washed separately. You would not believe the pile of junk that I removed from the dryer. As I anticipated, all the stuffing in the corners was wadded in little balls. Mostly there is NO stuffing in the corners. To add to the lousy quality, the inside fabric has apparently frayed, loose threads have become entwined with the stuffing and now pull one side from the inside so that the comforter will not lay flat. I am going to have to rip open the comforter, cut the frayed threads to free them and re sew the comforter so it will lay flat in the dog bed cover. It seems all of us that have rated this piece of over priced junk have had exactly the same issues: the filling does not stay in place nor does it stay flat but becomes wadded balls of stuffing leaving large areas of the comforter with no filling whatsoever. For what it is worth,I am e mailing the seller to complain just to let them know how lousy this product is. It's too late to return it but I won't be fooled by this company again ! Far and away, this is the very worst shopping experience I have had on amazon.com !
