This first part of my review isn’t a reason for my low rating, it’s just a heads up. The Pentel brush is definitely for advanced calligraphers and not beginners. It’s way too soft to maintain adequate control. One thing that is annoying though is that the color is more of a dark gray once fully dried, not the vibrant black it is when first applied. I can live with the lackluster color but the longevity of the ink is something I can’t do. I’ve used this twice, once on graphing paper and once on notebook paper and it’s already drying out. The first day I got it, I only used it for about 10 minutes because I realized I’d need a lot more practice before being able to make anything look nice. I used it again yesterday for maybe 20-25 minutes and the ink started to dry out. I figured I just used it too long so I stored it upside down overnight thinking the ink would flow down but nope, it was still dry when I tried it again today. I know the price is super cheap and now I understand why! You’d have to buy a new set every few uses since you can only get about 35 minutes out of it. Had to return. On a side note, if you’re a beginner and want a brush that lasts, get the Kuretake Fude. Included a pic so you can see the difference, just remember I’m still a beginner so neither will look fancy
