This would be the 2ND of these that I bought. The first one played tapes at faster speeds (which was fixed by opening up the player and turning the speed control dial to where it SHOULD have been properly set by the manufacturer), but then it died a slow death as it started playing music out of only one side of the headphones. Some days they'd work fine, other days output from only one headphone. So, I chucked it after realizing for the money, it's not worth the frustration. I figured maybe I got a bad one. So, I ordered a replacement. Same model, just in blue. This time, the tapes played at the right speed, so I was thinking all was going to be well. Eh.....not so much. In just a few months of having the player, the EXACT SAME OUTPUT PROBLEM began again with this one. Chucking it right now and ordering a quality player. Again, if you buy cheap, SOMETIMES things work fine. But in this case, I'm here to tell you that the quality of this item is 2 for 2 at being junk.
