Just got back from a camping/family reunion in Colorado with this thing after driving down from Montana. We absolutely loved this shelter after we put it up, and everyone at the family reunion thought it was really great too..especially how it extends to make it bigger. But when we all left to go hear a performance, a wind gust came...Needless to say we were devastated to come back and saw that the whole thing had folded in half. This happened on our second day of a 2 week trip, kind of put a damper on everything as it was very sunny and HOT. And of course then I regretted getting this more expensive one instead of the cheaper one I was originally looking at with the thought that this would be stronger! We tried to recollapse it to take back home with the thought that we could order the parts that got bent, but no way. It was impossible to refold it, no matter what we did, so, rather than drive home with a giant tangled mass of metal bars tied to the top of the car, we had to throw it out. Of course I got on here to see if it could be replaced and discovered we got home after the return window had closed. :( I am now going to try and get hold of Amazon and/or Coleman and see if anything can be done. If they make it right, I will come back on here and let you all know. I actually really like Coleman, we brought another small screened in pop up shade shelter and our tent is by Coleman, and they fared the wind gust just fine. I've have always had good luck with their products so this was a real surprise.
