This is a production that stands on the shoulders of giants yet refuses to acknowledge it. Where would this production and the actors be without the great success of the timeless novels or the immensely popular film trilogy? Unfortunately, neither the producers nor the actors recognize this fact. There is no humility. There is no honor. There is no homage. Instead, fans, the lore, and what has gone before are dragged through the mud. All is treated as inferior while this production is presented as the “fix” for “problems” that do not exist. Amazon butchered Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time and now Tolkien. Shameful.
