20160127 I have decided to leave this as one star with all the reasons below. From most of the impolite(asking to change the rating, I think they have a lot of Unifi stock) and non-helpful comments, only one guy can point out the correct setting for Unifi AC giga speed-1300mbps. I am pretty sure the giga speed has to enable manually since I have 3 Unifi AC now and I have to make that change manually to enable the full speed which doesn't make sense. It has been a month, Unifi did not contact me and try to walk me though to enable the full giga speed setting which should be enabled as default from the factory setting, thanks to C. Green again. By the way, there is a new feedback for this AP and he has to make that change manually also to get faster speed(1300mbps). To reply to one of the comment regarding I am just testing it with home level equipments. I am using Sonicwall TZ500, Synology 214+ with raid 0, Lenovo W541 with Esxi - Windows 7 64bits running on a SSD, the wifi testing is running on a Macbook Air 11" mid 2013. The burst internal file transfer speed between the Windows and the the NAS is 11XMB/sec with a LAN connection, average is ~100mb/sec. To all the people who has clicked non-helpful feedback, if you guys also has this AC AP, I feel so sorry for you guys because none of you guys has enabled the full speed for your Unifi AC AP. 20151227 In just few days, I see 7 people found this is not useful, feel free to comment and correct me so I can make this unit to run giga wireless speed. I have updated 2 pictures from a wifi signal software. 20151224 This is the 2nd generation of AC I got from Unifi, again... I don't get 1000 or 1300mbps. I have been using the same Macbook Air with AC to do testing. UAP-AC-PRO With 5Ghz, this one only can do 600mbps max speed instead of 1300mbps, I am just 5 feet away from it and I get 400mbps only... Time capsule AC With 5Ghz, the max speed is 1300mbps, 5 feet away from it, I get 867mbps which is the max speed of the AC card on this Macbook Air. They both are $199 at this moment, the only reason why I pick Unifi because it has a management software that is very easy to deploy a new unit. I see some people are testing the speed with speedtest.net, I believe 99% of the wireless access point can max the speed of the US internet speed, what we really should care is the benefit of the local network transfer speed.
