***DANGER***Beware!!!
Whatever you do, do NOT buy this litter. I wish I had read some of the other reviews first because like others, this almost killed my kitty too! With just a small amount of liquid, this stuff expands, hardens, and turns into a very heavy wet cement-like blob. That's fine in the litter box but imagine having that heavy block of cement in your stomach/intestines! When your cat gets this stuff on her paws (which she will) and needs to clean it out by licking, she will ingest it. If you're thinking a few particles of litter won't harm her, you need to realize this isn't just some dust particles. This stuff gets caked into their paws so either I had to pick it out or she would keep biting at it to get it out. I feel like an awful pet parent because I didn't even think about it and just assumed all litter was like that (I just buy whatever is on sale usually) and I never noticed. Until my kitty started obsessively licking at her lower stomach until she had a nasty looking irritated bald spot. The vet said she did that to try to help the pain from having a block of litter in her stomach, which also had caused her to go from 10lb to 13lb. It was only a partial blockage so we put her on cat laxatives and crossed our fingers. For the next few days she painfully pooped up huge clumps of hair/litter and was miserable. Her latest x-ray showed there is still a large block of it in her stomach that we're hoping will work it's way out now that we're away from this awful litter. We have probably used 30+ types of litter (kitty isn't picky and I like sales), mostly clumping kinds, and never had any problems until this one almost killed her, so I definitely believe it's this particular brand/sku. Sorry for the long review, I just can't get over the fact that this passed any kind of product testing. The first couple of weeks were fine, but give it a month or two to accumulate litter in your cat's stomach/colon and you will definitely regret it.
