I first bought the Dekor three years ago and I loved it. Even without the slot for odor-eating disks that many diaper bins have, this diaper pail did a great job at keeping odors in. Can you believe that I washed it only once in three years? I mean whenever I opened the pail to change the bag, the odor nearly killed me. But once the bin was closed again, the smell was mostly contained. After three years, the Dekor started to stink and neither baking soda, nor airing it outside, nor wiping it down with Lysol worked. So, I said goodbye to my old Dekor and bought a new one. Big mistake. Somewhere along the way, Dekor got cheap on its customers. I don't know if it is the thickness of the plastic or some other quality issue, but somehow, the new Dekor releases odors like you wouldn't believe. Even one dirty diaper in it stinks up the entire room. I am disappointed and can no longer recommend the Dekor. I suggest you buy one of those diaper pails with the slots for odor-eating disks. For now, I am using cat litter deodorizer poured into the bin to keep the odor somewhat in check. Please click "helpful" below, if this review is useful to you.
