★☆☆☆☆
Weak scholarship
Let's begin with the obvious. This book isn't scholarship, it's personal opinion. The author doesn't touch on Lee after the Civil War and seems more interested in dealing with his own White Guilt than true facts and impartial scholarship. I really wanted to like this book, but to me it's nothing more than the tripe you might see on "The View." All I see is someone trying to hop on the current hot bandwagon and make a few bucks. I'd give it a pass.
