Not all its cracked up to be. Imo.
Like the idea. Don't think you get the flexibility you get with concrete. It seems a couple things I've figured out on my own with it that isn't mentioned in directions. 1). Is you need to be darn close to the middle of the hole with your post or the will be uneven pressure and it will knock your posts out of level despite how well you've supported them. 2) And even more serious. 3 of my posts heaved upward the worst being 7", the best being 2". This is obviously a big problem. What I think I figured out is once you have the post set. Tamp 2" - 3" of dirt tight around the bottom of the post so the foam can't get underneath. This seems to solve the heaving up problem. I think. It's been an hour and I think it's finished setting. As many times as I read the directions and as many videos I watched, I do not recall seeing either of these problems discussed. We'll see, I'm undetermined if I am returning this yet or not. Might depend how irritated I get digging the foam out of the 3 failed attempts. Not crazy impressed so far. But I really want to like it because I hate mixing concrete. VERY IMPORTANT INSTALLATION OBSERVATIONS!!!!!! PLEASE READ. Update: Decided to return and just go concrete. Decided this as I was removing the secure set from the post holes on the last day of my vacation. This was supposed to save me time. But hasn't. Going to contact customer service about getting a refund on the used stuff to.
