Bests & Worsts Reviews from Amazon

I purchase a LOT on Amazon, and very rarely write reviews unless something really surprises me. Either good or bad. I am wheelchair bound, so I wanted a handheld vacuum for cleaning out my truck, lugging the shopvac out is just a pain in my a$$. I did a lot of research and this is what came out on top in this price range. I dont need tons of suction power, just enough clean all the dirt and rocks my wheelchair and feet bring into my truck. When I 1st received it, it had a partial charge so I used it for a minute or 2 on the couch and floor just to see how it performed. I was pleased. It seemed to work like the other reviews said. I let it charge overnight and waited til the charge light indicator showed it was full and just now I brought it out to my truck to see how it handled the job. I wasn't going slow, but I wasn't rushing either. I literally got the carpet between my drivers door and seat, the drivers seat and floorboard, the middle console, then I opened my backdoor to start on the back. I got maybe 2 quick passes and I could hear the motor dying down. I stopped and made sure there wasn't any blockage then started again, next pass... dead!!! We are talking 3 or 4 minutes TOPS! It took me longer to write this than the battery worked. UPDATE: After charging it overnight again, more of the same results. I honestly don't understand why there are so many amazing reviews for this, because unless this is a lemon, these are the worst lithium batteries on the market! After 1st posting this review I was reading similar reviews from the email from Amazon. This is NOT a rare problem. Strangely you dont see all these negative reviews directly on Amazon. Amazon is sending me a replacement, so I guess we see if I got a lemon. I strongly urge you to look at another brand tho. Its ashame that Amazon puts their "Amazon Choice" on a product that is so bad for our environment! You can't replace the battery, so its a throwaway item that is nothing but plastic and extremely toxic lithium batteries! Whether the 1 they send me work or not, this will be the last time I purchase a B&D product after getting to see just how many people out there have had the same problem with the battery life as me. I own and have owned a lot of lithium and even Nicad tools, none have even come close to as disappointingly bad as this! Good luck if you decide to go with this product. Your gonna need it!
