The bottom of the latch that holds the lid is defective and arrived damaged with a visible plastic stress line. I didn't even use this yet. Another reviewer also noted this. The handle is much thicker than the part that holds the latch. The latch should have been made thicker, as thick as the handle. I foresee the latch will soon break off, in particular when hot water is put into the Growler.. Unfortunately, this is a design defective. Please fix this,Thermos. Once the latch goes, the whole growler becomes useless.
