I will NEVER buy another HP again..
Where to begin... FIRST THING YOU NEED TO KNOW..is to ALWAYS have an extra set of the 3 Color Cartridges as back-up. If you run out of ONE of the colors, you cannot print! It will allow you to print several items in only black but this will require you to stand in front of your print after your select Print from your laptop and then you must tap OKAY on the Printers screen for it to print. But the system only allows so many prints in 'Black Only' before it stops printing altogether and you MUST put in 3 NEW color cartridges. You cannot simply add a Cyan because after you add it, it will say that the Magenta must be replaced and so on and so forth. I will NEVER buy another HP printer! Also, the manual is a joke! If you have any questions, you're better off Googling for an answer. I use Avery Shipping Labels to ship for my biz. I placed my shipping label on top in my paper tray and it pushed it out and then printed on a plain piece of paper. To print on anything in fact, short of printing paper, you have to take all of the paper out because the system someone lifts the sheet you want to print and prints on the plain paper below it. Also, I have had to re-download the software for scanning more times than I can count. My Mac shows I have the APP to scan but it reads it can't connect and doesn't give me any options but to re-download. I also had to take care of this on my PC several times. This is annoying as he**!!!! How does a computer lose printer software?!?!?! HP QUESTION: I'm flustered beyond words and maybe SOMEONE out there knows the answer because reaching HP for help is next to impossible. I can print the EXACT same document on different occasions and every now and then I get a notification that it's the WRONG PAPER SIZE! Hmmm...I haven't changed the settings or the doc so why is this happening?! When I print I also check the Print Window and it says I have the right size paper. WTH is happening?! Thanks for any advice you may have on correcting this (and yes, my default paper size is 8.5 x 11 and my docs have the same setting). All in all, buy something else. Like I said, I'm so done with HP.
