This is SO not like the books and I don't even see how it can stand alone as a separate entity from the books. 1) WAY TOO SEXUALIZED 2) INSERTING ISSUES THAT WERE NOT IN THE BOOK: Mat Cauthon's mom was an addict, or codependent? Great to address those issues; but they are NOT IN THE BOOKS AND NOT NECESSARY HERE!!!! MAKE A DIFFERENT SHOW ABOUT THAT! 3) PERRIN IS MARRIED?! OR DATING SOME WOMAN?! WTH? 4) THEY LIVE IN AN ODD RACIAL UTOPIA? OKAY, a racial utopia is totally cool. BUT if that were the case they would all be racially mixed by the time the story opens. Maybe when they settled the land HUNDREDS OR THOUSANDS of years ago after the breaking they were of all different races; but after intermarrying they would be pretty homogenous; it doesn't make sense! I love diversity! I love hearing diverse stories! Why can't HOLLYWEIRD get this right? It's great that they want to include everyone; but LATER IN THE BOOK YOU MEET LOADS OF RACIALLY DIVERSE CHARACTERS! WHO HAVE MAJOR ROLES and that was a big thing to see these basically Appalachian kids go to the big city, meet people different than themselves, make friends and even fall in love with people different than themselves!!!!! WHY CHEAPEN THAT!? AND WHY CHEAPEN THE STORY WITH ALL THE GRATUITOUS SEX! THAT'S IT! THE USA GETS THEIR LICENSE TO CREATE MOVIES AND TV SHOWS TAKEN AWAY UNTIL THEY ACTUALLY LEARN HOW TO MAKE GOOD SHOWS! MAKE A TEAM OF FAN CONSULTANTS BEFORE YOU TRY TO PASS MESS LIKE THIS OFF ON DEDICATED READERS WHO HAVE WAITED DECADES FOR THIS! ((PTOO)) (me spitting on this show)
