This dresser looks good, is heavy, and won’t tip. Unfortunately it was manufactured using highly toxic chemicals and is not safe for a child’s room. When I opened the box it was an overwhelming chemical smell that I thought would dissipate, but it never did, even a year later I would need to leave the window open. The thought of a child breathing this formaldehyde laden toxic stew while sleeping throughout their childhood is mortifying. I do not see how this is legal to sell, and ha, I see it actually *is* illegal to sell in California now, I wonder why... I don’t generally review, but the amount of time and stress this has caused over the past few years was not worth the few dollars saved over what it would have cost to buy more reputable furniture and I can’t believe the 4.5 star rating this has. How I finally solved the smell issue was sealing all of the drawers, inside and out, with Zinsser B-I-N Ultimate Stain Blocker Shellac Primer. This primer will seal nearly anything, even this air quality disaster. In case anyone else makes the mistake of buying this wanted to leave a review with a potential solution. Again, not worth it, shame on Delta “Children” for selling a product designed for a child’s bedroom manufactured with dangerous chemicals.
