I hate this thing.
It's hard to describe how odd and unwieldy this vacuum is so I will sum it up this way: it's like lugging around a bowling ball with a piece a dental floss. Clearly, I didn't like it. I also returned it. But I just want to note some things for those considering a purchase of this unusual contraption: 1) It does not vacuum carpet. That's it. The brush either adheres to the carpet without gliding over the carpet or does not grip the carpet at all. There is no in-between. The carpet brush does not work on carpet. 2) When you snap the attachments together there is no snapping sound. I know this sounds persnickety but imagine never knowing when to stop pushing 2 pieces together - you are never quiet sure if it's actually on "enough" until it falls off while you are vacuuming. 3) It's heavy, y'all. I really wanted something lightweight. It is advertised as such, but it is not. I consider my upper body strength strong enough to vacuum. 4) I think the handle design is in the wrong place. I keep wanting to pick it up. But when it is sitting upright, the handle is actually on the bottom of the vacuum. That means I have to turn it upside down to use the handle. Sorry, but that doesn't work. I spent more time trying to figure out how to carry this thing than should be necessary. Even if, the handle was on the side of the canister - I wouldn't have to turn it upside down. This became really annoying because... 5) The wheels don't work well. So I ended up dragging the heavy bottom mechanism with the hose. But without working wheels, it feels as if you are lugging something instead of it gliding behind you. 6) I missed the being able to attach the hose to the back when not in use - like you can do with an upright vacuum. There is a hook for the hose on the back. The hook is so low on the base that the bottom of the hose attaches just fine, but the the top of the hose falls down because there is nothing attaching its top to the base of the vacuum as well. This made storing it a pain, ie, the hose was just laying everywhere. I'm just so used to it neatly aligning itself to the vacuum that I did not consider where I would put the hose if that option was not available. And it is not. 7) You get a lot of attachments, but there are nothing special about them, ie, I think some of them are redundant. I thought the cat hair brush would be magical but the upholstery brush (also included) works better on cat hair. Plus, the cat hair gets stuck in the cat brush and there is no way to pick the hair out as its covered by a plastic cover - that does not come off. 8) Also, most of the attachments can not be stored on the vacuum. I ended up storing them in a separate box. I guess that's okay, if you are into that. I like everything being stored ON the vacuum itself. All of those little things add up to a lot of inconvenience. I would not recommend this vacuum to anyone. Nor would I accept one for FREE if it were offered. The only plus was the retractable cord - because it was the only thing that was well-designed and easy to use.
