I cannot believe that this castle gets such positive reviews here. I bought this for my daughter last Christmas, and I won't say she doesn't play with it, because she does, but really the problem is there is almost nothing to do that actually involved the toy itself....it is basically just a big backdrop to play with the dolls in front of. The top levels are TINY. Elsa's chair takes up the entirety of the top level of the ice castle side...and then what? The bottom level is just a narrow empty wasteland. The stairs just kinda stop in the middle of nowhere and they don't really lead to the top on either side of the castle. The slide on the ice castle is OK, but that is not exactly hours of fun, and the doors to nowhere on the Arrendale side, I suppose they make for entry and exit story play, but again, it is just a giant waste of space for the limited functionality. This thing is big, so if bigger is better, then you will like this, but it is almost completely useless. A color poster taped to the wall would be just as good because there is just nothing at all to do INSIDE of this toy, and that would save you about $90. In general I have not found any good Frozen toys yet...perhaps they can just get away with it since it's so popular it doesn't matter and anything will sell. But for comparison sake, I got the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Secret Sewer Lair Play Set for around the same price, as my daughter wants to marry Donny, and that is a real toy....it may have taken forever to put together, but there is TONS do actually play with inside. Maybe they should have come out with 2 separate castles here instead so that they could actually have made toys worth playing with. This is a dud.
