★☆☆☆☆
Nice concept, poor execution.
I appreciate the idea that not everyone in a romance novel has to be supermodel hot, but the author focused so much on the heroine’s unattractiveness that it was just as superficial as when authors focus on how beautiful the heroine is. It was the flip side of the same coin. Especially since she apparently had a great body, like that made up for her unattractiveness. Would the guy have fallen for her if she was lumpy and had a flat ass? Probably not, based on the way the book was written. Aside from that, the plot was entirely predictable. I could see what the drama was that keeps them apart the minute it was set up by the author. Absolutely no suspense whatsoever. Writing was mediocre and repetitive. The author said the same thing over and over just using different words rather than finding depth to her characters and the story. Book had quite a few typos that were distracting, especially near the end. Don’t waste your time or money.
