Boring, Tedious, Unbearable. Do not watch this
I do not think I have ever seen a worse show. It is tedious, boring, terribly written, and the dialogue is terrible.
First the characters. Are horrible. Galadriel is an extremely unpleasant person who looks at everyone around her with contempt. The only likable characters were the Dwarves. Otherwise everyone is just unpleasant. There is absolutely no chemistry between any of the characters. Even the Elf Arondir and his supposed girlfriend have no chemistry at all. The acting is terrible and wooden. I have seen more emotion and more interesting people in video game NPCs. And Dear God do not get me started on the Harfoots. After episode three all I can say is they are all psychotic unpleasant characters. Hearts bigger than their feet. There are video game villains with more heart.
The dialogue is terrible. It is written to sound fancy but says nothing. They think they are so smart but all they did was throw in fancy words and a poor attempt at poetry to make them sound smart. IT doesn't work. Every conversation is plodding and pointless. I am amazed this made it past editing.
And then there is the silly. The stuff that just makes absolutely no sense. So little sense it breaks the story. Like the tunnels with cloth covering - instead of just tunnels underground. Or the whole tree thing. To name a few. My God the silly is so immersion breaking - it broke my brain watching this.
This show is exactly like if someone goes into a store with thousands of dollars and spends it on the best gaming rig money can buy. The buy the best monitors, tower, mouse, keyboard etc. But no matter how much you spend it won't make you into a great gamer. A $500 keyboard does not make you into a pro Halo player. They thoughts a massive budget makes a good show - it doesn't. I have read better fan stories than this. I have written better fan stories than this.
This show is boring and tedious and just so bad. It isn't Tolkien. It isn't even good fantasy. Its just terrible, bad boring poorly written. I want my three hours back!
