Just ordered my second Simple Modern 40oz water jug. And doing so made me question quality and authenticity of both water jugs. In my pictures you can see the dark grey (new) next to the light grey (1 month old). Both a completely different brand stamp and markings. The light grey (1 month old) looks and feels printed on, while the dark grey (new) looks much better being what looks and feels to be Laser engraved. So witch one is legit? Are they both legit or are both fakes? Now to the quality issue. On the dark grey (new) In the picture you can see there's a small hole at the bottom near the center. I whittled down a toothpick to be small enough to fit through the hole to see how deep it was. Trying to see if it was only the powder coat or if the hole is actually in the metal. The toothpick went about a 16th of an inch deep which makes me think it goes further than just the powder coat. Which brings concern because now there's a way for air to get into the vacuum seal, the letting in air and moisture to create condensation and eventually rust in the future. I hope Simple Modern see's this and can clarify. I would gladly re review this product if S/M can take care of these concerns.
