I just received this Trash Can. A lot of review talk about receiving a damaged item. Mine had minor scratches and scuffs only. But the real issue is the poor design. The first thing I noticed is that the bags are a pain to change. There is minimal room between the removable inner can and the outside can. When you put the liner in, it gets caught and sticks out of the lid. You must take a few minutes to try and tuck it in. A kitchen butter knife works good. Also, now that the bag is in, there is no handle to lift the inner can out because it is under your trash bag. When your bag is full, you must feel arounds through the dirty bag to find the handle underneath it. Poorly designed, see photos. Another serious issue is if you step on the opener the lid slams up and hits your counter. I put a 2x4 behind the can and it still hits the counter with a bang. You must slowly and gently press the foot peddle so as not to bang the lid. When I am running around the kitchen trying to get everything cooked at the same time, I don't see me going into slow motion to open the trash can s-l-o-w-l-y and gently. I will be sending this back.
