I hate to be the bummer review when there are so many good ones, but since so many mislead me into making a disappointed purchase here goes….. I chose the Leven Rose because my usual brand’s packaging is less than ideal - a poorly designed cap that creates waste unless transferred to a bottle with a dropper. I have grown kind of tired of the transferring and thought it would be nice to have it arrive ready for use. Out of the box I was initially pleased with the packaging, size of the bottle, and long dropper. However, when I opened the bottle, I immediately realized that this was not the advertised pure unrefined organic jojoba oil by the pale color (pure jojoba oil is a bright golden color, whereas the processed oil is more clear/transparent) and thick viscosity (pure tends to be more of a medium consistency). When dealing with plant derived products, it is variability is expected from one production to the next. Because I wanted to be wrong, I thought that perhaps this might be a less than typical batch. Jojoba oil that is pure will solidify at temperatures of 50 degrees or less. So in effort to satisfy my doubts I put the bottle in the refrigerator, next to another bottle of jojoba oil that I knew to be pure, and left it a full 24 hours. However, within a few hours my suspicions were already being confirmed. My pure bottle of oil had begun to solidify within the first couple of hours, but to be fair it was a much smaller bottle, so in effort to give it the full benefit of the doubt I waited 24-hours. 24-hours later, my small bottle had become completely solid. The Leven Rose didn't even cloud, unless you count the external condensation that collected on the outside of the cold bottle when I opened the refrigerator. I am posting pictures to show how this brand when refrigerated maintains the liquid state, more noticeable when compared side by side to my usual brand. I have already created my return shipping label and will be purchasing a brand that I know is pure. The flawed pour design in a small price to pay for knowing what I have paid for and what exactly I am putting on my skin.
