Changed My 3-Star Rating
I've had mine for awhile now. I'm growing a tomato plant, a basil, and a mint plant. The tomato and basil started sprouting very soon after setting it up. The mint, however took several weeks to show anything. I thought it was a dud at first. It doesn't even look like mint or taste like it - even though it's still so small and way too early for me to be trying it. The soil surrounding the mint has a bit of a mossy look to it and there's a lot of shiny dark green soil showing. - Don't know what that is. Maybe I got a bad batch.
Also for what it's worth...the timer is off. I had plugged it in at a specific time so that it would always go on at that time, however, it started turning on earlier and earlier.
2/5/16 - I ended up ditching the mint plant and replacing it with another a few weeks ago; It's already started to bloom. What is a problem, however, is that my tomato and basil plants which were doing well previously, started becoming water-logged and white fuzzy moss was evident in the soil. I removed a few affected leaves from the basil and removed the 'pots' from the Click & Grow and set them on the edge of it but still under the lights - so the soil could dry out a bit. When the plants started looking healthier, I placed them back into their respective "holes." Once again, they are not doing well. The leaves of the tomato plant tend to fold in on themselves while the basil leaves are starting to look spotted again.
I've included a photo of my first mint plant. Notice how the soil contains fuzzy white mold and green moss.
