***WARNING!*** ***READ ENTIRE REVIEW BEFORE BUYING*** **EDIT AT BOTTOM, ORIGINALLY 5STAR REVIEW** I bought the 2hp model and right off the bat I can tell you this pump is AMAZING! I needed a replacement pool pump to replace my 1.5hp. After years of neglect and wear and tear, the 1,5hp pump was probably only operating at less than 1hp. The swap out was super fast, and VERY easy! Overall it no more than 30 minutes to hook up the inlet, outlet, ground, and power. I primed it, started it, and couldn’t even tell if it was on at first because it is WHISPER QUIET! No problems whatsoever installing or starting. The pressure coming out of the jet is way better than before and my filters pressure reading is damn near the same as it was before the swap out. Overall, I think I got the best bang for my buck with this pump, ABSOLUTELY SATISFIED! I’m not sure about the 1.5hp or the 1hp models, but there’s no chance in hell that you will be disappointed with the 2hp. I’ll update my review after the pool season is over to let you know how well it did throughout. The only thing that would be disappointing about this pump would be if it had a short lifespan. So, fingers crossed! We will see!!!! Update as of 10/30/2020 The pump worked amazingly for almost 3 months (The rest of our swim season). A couple of weeks before it was time to close the pool down, I noticed water dripping from the back casing of the pump. Disconnected the pump from my lines to inspect and couldn’t find where the leak could be coming from. Upon reading the owners manual, I checked all the gaskets and they were fine. So there must be a crack or something internally that can’t be seen. I have now tried to remedy this issue with Vivo-home for 6 months with no luck at all! There also seems to be different support for customers who purchased this item through Amazon and not directly from Vivo-home which is very frustrating when getting the run around! Pool season is just about to start again, and now I have to PURCHASE another pump in order to have a working pool this season. So, in short: originally gave a 5 star review, and the pump worked amazingly when it didn’t leak. However, the lifetime of this pump for me was less than a season. So if you want to spend the $300 every year replacing this pump, DO NOT BUY! It also seems that Vivo-home makes it very difficult to utilize the products manufacturer warranty, if the pump really even has any kind of warranty at all.
