First, One star was for drawing attention about the highly Imitated FAKE headphone! (You must read this before you buy). I give authentic headphone 5 STAR***** very good sound quality. I am from China which you know it is full of imitations. the AKG K450 is very popular in China so there are tons of imitations out there and sells about $30 in Chinese Ebay. I think those sells $50-60 in US Ebay shipping from Hong Kong or Shenzhen is also fake. So I was very cautious when I buy this headphone. Unfortunately. After I go through many Chinese website which have instruction of identification, I am 100% sure the first one I received from Audio Express is faked. These headphones are so well made that it is very hard to identify, however, I upload some pics so you can check it yourself. Main differences: 1. Authentic one have a cutout on the package for easy openning, fake one don't. 2. For authentic, the letter "G" of AKG logo on headphone has a thicker horizontal line, and more lines on logo, the fake is very thin and less lines. 3. the joint of fake one is very rough 4. The length of authentic headphone is very easy to extend and very clear step, fake one is hard to extend and rough step feeling.(You will easily find out this if you see both) 5. you can see the speaker unit easily on authentic one while the fake is covered with a very dark and thick close. For the seller, I don't know they do this in purpose or they are also the victim of Chinese fake product. I just tell the fact here, so you gays can beware when you buy from third party sellers. Because they can buy cheap fake headphone from China and ship it to amazon than sells them as Prime products. My suggestion is to buy from ONLY from Amazon.com, though it is a little bit expensive, but you get the authentic one. Totally different value.
