Neat little gadget, but the one I got fell off the wall in less than three minutes even though it fit in the center of a ceramic tile with no overlap or contact with the grout. I tried it several times and even re-scrubbed the tile but the grip wouldn't hold. The directions say it has to be applied to a dry surface, so re-attaching it to a wet shower wall once it falls off isn't an option. By the way, the width of the suction cup is just about 3 7/8". As of this writing, that information wasn't included in the item description. A note on the vendor, BabyHaven: if buying something from this vendor, be sure to review their return policy first. With the restocking fee, return shipping and charging for their cost to ship the item to me, after the initial free shipping, it would cost more to return it than to just throw it away. Even if a product doesn't perform satisfactorily, those fees are assessed. Or they simply refer you to the manufacturer.
