I got the 60 liter, which has two side-by-side 30 liter bins contained in a single housing. I had no problem with the size. It looks fine on the outside, but I hate this trash can. I got this because I wanted to have a single container for recycling and garbage, and i'm throwing it away after a year of frustration because the way it was designed gets in the way of every day use. The inside of this is mostly hollow. The individual garbage bins fit snugly into their own properly sized holes. The fit is so snug that when you fold the top of the bag over the lip of the bin, the bag will scrunch, and not easily fit. It is FAR too snug to tie the loose ends of the bag in a knot. I have tried several sizes and gauges of bag to no avail. Rubber bands are also not strong enough to hold 30 liters of trash upright. Once you wrestle with the bin, and secure the bag to the lip, you can now fill it with trash or recycling. This is the one thing the can does well. The pedal works. It's not as responsive as I would like, but when you push down the pedal, the lid will eventually open. Once filled with trash, the next design flaw comes in to play. The metal handle used to pull the bin out of the housing is on the INSIDE of the bin, and because of that, it is COMPLETELY USELESS. Because of the snug fit, if you folded the bag over the lid, the handle is COMPLETELY blocked by the bag. You will need to tug on the lip, and lift the bin out of its housing without using the handle. All while the bin is filled with 30 liters of garbage. As an added bonus, anything in your trash or recycling that is rigid (any box, or can) will catch on that handle, and make it very, very annoying to remove the bag from the bin. I really hate this trash can.
