★☆☆☆☆
Not worth the price and very very basic
This large book is only large because the entire thing is double spaced between lines. Because this book is physically large it does not fit the average bookshelf. As far as I can see the information is very very basic and can be found elsewhere. I feel the book is WAY overpriced for what you get. Overall you only get a very limited amount of useful information. For years I have taught survival and self-sufficiency skills so I have had a large research library. This book would only be in my library if I was just starting out and knew of no other books that were available. What book(s) would I recommend for the types of information Claude Davis attempts to provide? I would recommend the entire Foxfire series of books as the Foxfire books were researched and written from interviews of oldtimers. In a way it seems like Claude Davis researched the subjects by using the Foxfire books but only provides a very limited amount of information in comparison.
