I have bought these pants many times over in the past, & absolutely loved them. So what do they do? Change the fabric (not as soft), cheapen the waste band; no longer a sturdy band, just a drawstring inside flimsy fabric. But the MOST AGREGIOUS THING THEY DID, change the fit! Their usual medium now fits like a small. They shortened the rise by 1&1/2 inches. The new mediums are now also an inch or two longer. I'm betting the Large is the old medium, but longer inseam. Why oh why did they have to ruin a good thing! Please go back to the original one. I'm now stuck with 2 pants, that after I washed & dried (thinking & TRUSTING they were like all my others) I now can't wear! A CUSTOMER'S TRUST IS A PRECIOUS THING - NOT TO BE TAMPERED WITH. Cutting corners ALWAYS fails in the end. SO BUYER BEWARE : THESE ARE NOT YOUR FAVORITE PANTS ANYMORE!!!
