I'm a Uverse tech and just want to let buyers know that AT&T's system doesn't allow the gateway to be changed without an employee telling the system to look for a new gateway. AT&T doesn't sell the gateway to third parties to sell either. Once a gateway is used on an account it can't be used on another until its sent to a warehouse where it becomes a refurb unit. I love Amazon and do most of my shopping from Amazon but this product is misleading.
