My boyfriend and I recieved our step stool today. I took it out of the box and he went into the kitchen to grab something out of our cupboard. All of a sudden *smash* his leg broke through the lower step of the stool. The front of his leg had the hair and skin sliced off and his ankle was cut as well. Luckly he was wearing long pants or I do belive we would be making a trip to the emergency room. The stool clearly says max 300lbs. My boyfriend weighs max 250lbs and had nothing in his hands when the step broke. I have pictures to attach if any one would like to see them. I will also be sending an email to Range Kleen MFG., INC. I hope our stool was just defective and I hate writing these reviews but due to the possible severity of this incident I think it is warranted.
