I was so excited to buy this handheld steam cleaner. I have a Eureka Evirosteam Floor Mop, and I love it. I had all sorts of plans for what I would clean with my new hand held: grout lines, chaulking, faucets, toilets, etc. Bottom line - THIS STEAMER REALLY DOESN'T WORK WELL. Problem 1: lack of any substantial directions. Problem 2: Heats up relatively quickly, but after spraying it for about 20 seconds, it needs another 2 minutes to heat again (this feels like a long time because you are just kneeling there waiting to continue your cleaning... over and over and over again! Problem 3: Lack of force when you spray the steamer - it has a little more force then a tea kettle. Problem 4: (this may have been a misunderstanding on my part) after steaming the area, you have to SCRUB it. Alternatively, I could put scrubbing bubbles on the same service and wipe the dirt away. Problem 5: When you run out of water, you cannot just open the top and add more. You need to give it about 45 minutes to cool down first. This is EXTREMELY AGGRAVATING when you are in the middle of cleaning your bathroom. My solution. I am returning this steamer and going back to using my array of cleaners. It is quicker and easier. If you really want to go green and clean with only steam, then I would NOT RECOMMEND THIS STYLE OF STEAMER. You are really going to need an industrial strength steamer with the base on the floor. Handheld steamers cannot compete with chemical cleansers or indidustrial strenght steamers.
