★★☆☆☆
Shaming language
I was disappointed to discover that this book utilizes shaming language to describe diaper-wearing. This is not helpful for toddlers who may have to occasionally wear diapers or pullups for nap/bedtime, childcare, etc. specifically the use of the phrases ‘diapers are no fun. Nobody likes to he wet and dirty!’ As well as referring to ‘that old diaper’. I actually change the words when I read this to my daughter because she needs her potty training to be 100% positive. Perhaps the author can adjust the wording in a future print edition.
