Buyer beware. My poor guinea ended up infested with parasitic lice. Make sure to freeze for 24 to 48 hrs. When I purchased this during the winter months I didn't notice a problem, except for the fact that a different quality of shedding was sent to me each time. But once we got into the warmer months there was no time for the cold temps to kill of the lice, and I didn't know until my vet informed me about the parasites that can live and breed in this stuff at the warehouse. Never will I purchase this from amazon again
