UPDATE - no longer recommended
Update 2/20
Coating seems completely gone. I have none of the benefits that it initially provided. Overall extremely disappointing.
Update 12/19
So after three car washes (by hand, not machine) I can already tell the coating is going away. The slickness that was there initially is very much gone. I’ve also noticed that after rain now there is dirt and water spots just like before the coating was applied. That was not the case after initial application. Water still beads nicely though. I also put it on the glass but it’s not as effective or long lasting as Rain X. As noted below I would’ve been happy with a 6 month lifespan. I’ve only had it on a month and a half. Of course I wasn't expecting it to be like a true full ceramic application but I did expect longer lasting results. There is also no extra scratch resistance from using this. I don’t see the value for the price and no longer recommend. Going back to a regular clay/polish/wax routine.
Original review:
Put this on my black car last weekend. Gives it incredible shine. This morning I drove through rain all morning. After parking in a garage the water evaporating off of the car there were no water spots and no dirt streaks left. That's what impressed me the most. As this is a new product we'll see how long the coating lasts. Chemical Guys claims up to 12 months. I drive 20k miles a year and my car is outside much of the time (parking garage during the day though) so if I get 6 months I'll be happy. Will update this review if longevity doesn't hold up.
Very easy to use as long as you follow the directions. Don't let it sit a second longer on than necessary, otherwise it will be a pain to get off and you will cry. Just work small sections at a time.
Full steps I took were clay, polish with V38, this stuff, Blacklight, and topped with a polymer wax.
