The item will shred, but it doesn't leave shreds any where near as tiny as the description indicates. Also there is a photograph in the website of the shreds it should produce taken next to a quarter in the product description. I have attached a photo and the shreds on the left are ONE clean sheet. The shreds on the right are 5 sheets. You can see even one clean sheet doesn't produce shreds that are 5/32 x 15/32 as the description indicates, and even though the product description says it can shred 17 sheets, even with just 5 sheets we got long, rumpled strips-not micro cuts. This product does not perform as indicated.
