This kettle had worked out ok when I first got it. Wondering how long it will last in the end. My previous two, only lasted 4 months, almost on the dot. It has a nice design, and started out OK. But within the first month it went from 'boiling quietly' to a raging mechanical kettle in my kitchen (which I only use once/twice a day). I can see why some ppl were complaining about 'leaking' issues. I suspect the seal between the handle and the jug is not quite right. It leaks around the base when the pot is almost full, or when I wash it out. Usually easy to clean up, but seems like the product quality could be better. Especially since others have also reported this problem. Otherwise, I can have my coffee and tea, in a decent manner - which is all I really care about. Nothing lasts forever. We'll see how far it gets. Beware when buying from this seller! - I posted this original review at 3 stars. They sent me an email saying that '3 Star Reviews were hurting them by Amazon Standards' and they had issues with me reporting some of the product defects. Then tried to bribe me with a Refund AND a new kettle - but ONLY IF I changed my review to 5 stars. Reported it to Amazon for shady practices. But they didn't seem to care. Buy at your own risk!
