It is amazing to me that they continue to sell this set. The blending wand is okay for light jobs but the chopping bowl is a serious health hazard. The black plastic in the blade piece melts during operation in strictly light jobs. Maybe you're lucky and can use it once or twice without a problem but beware after that. I think I got it replaced two or three times during the warranty period, but it was not the unit that was defective. It's the design and materials that are faulty. So last replacement I didn't even bother to use the chopper attachment. But today, after a very long time, I decided to mix in it several types of flours to make crackers. Well, you can see in the picture the black plastic speckles. Those are from the top of the spinning rod which is part of the blade piece. Lucky me, they are clearly visible and I realized what was happening. I might have missed it if I was chopping spinach or some other dark colored food. Every time I complained, they told me they had no other complaints and that there was no problem with this item. I tried to believe it and gave it another try. Very unethical claim on the part of this company.
