We’ve had several different doggie doors over the last three decades. This particular door is my biggest buyers regret! There are many reasons for this. First it is a lesser quality than other pet safe doggie doors I have purchased in the past. It does not have a slide in block, that doesn’t lock either. All that I had in the past had a panel that slid in place. Some had a locking lever and some did not. This one has a panel that sets over the door. It didn’t take long for my aged English setters to learn to push this panel out onto the floor. It’s impossible to get them to go out and potty before bed unless I stand guard at the door to keep them from popping the block off the doggie door. I’m sure wildlife could easily push in at night too. I used to be able to put the block on the door and leave them out for 15 or 20 minutes before bringing them in for the night. This door does not work well for us. Then comes the quality, it’s very lacking, installation was much more difficult than prior doors. Cheap cheap cheap! It has three panels but let’s more air in then my previous two panel doors. There is nothing I like about this doggie door. I wish I had not purchased it.My previous door with panels that needed replaced was every bit as weathertight as this one with new panels. I do not recommend it.
