Samsung QLEDs DO NOT work with HDMI CEC. The TVs always default to use the TV speakers when the set is turned on. This is a known problem and has been all over the Samsung forums since 2016. Samsung says they are unable to fix this problem. If you are using anything other than the TV speakers you will have to manually turn them on prior to turning the TV on every time to use them.
