I have a Generac standby generator and the transfer switch melted down and almost caused a house fire. My service team (fortunately) was able to install a new transfer switch; however, Generac DID NOT INCLUDE THE PROPRIETARY LUG BOLTS that are required to attach the electric wires to the transfer switch. In summary, Generac provided faulty equipment and then they provided replacement parts that were missing components. My service company was able to get my electric working again, but they had to special order the lug bolts and again, Generac failed miserably by NOT rush shipping them. I don't know how many ways Generac can fail as a company because their service and products are horrible!!!!
