★★☆☆☆
Good product but I expect more from the Food Network
First, let me say that this is a good product, not great. It marginally improves upon the foodnetwork.com experience on a tablet. It does the basics of allowing you to search for recipes on foodnetwork.com by show as well as save those recipes into a recipe box that are linked to the website. However, the recipe box does not allow you to create folders, only store in folders you create on the website so a little less functionality than the website. A nice (but incomplete) feature allows you to create shopping lists from recipes. However the app does not combine ingredients from multiple recipes so you have a short, concise list. It should also allow you to scale recipes based on the number of servings you would like to make. Likely the biggest complaint is that it has even less video than the website (i.e., no video at all from what I found...) Given that this application is published by the Food NETWORK you would think that they would have lots of video to include. Also, when shows have multiple recipes that are pared together, there are no links from one recipe to another meaning you have to find it on your own. The app itself runs ok. It did crash once on my Galaxy Note 10. In short, I'd wait for them to put in a serious upgrade until paying the $1.99...
